Set the Stage for Celebrating TCU鈥檚 150 Years and Lead On: A Campaign for TCU

The university will once again celebrate the power of philanthropy during the 10th annual TCU Gives Day, which sets the stage for the university鈥檚 celebration of its 150th and Lead On: A Campaign for TCU. During the 24-hour giving challenge 鈥斺痜rom noon Oct. 3 until noon Oct. 4 鈥斺疷niversity Advancement hopes to reach its goal of 2,023 donors to TCU.

Donors may make a gift to any area of the university for any amount 鈥 the goal is to collectively come together to make a larger impact for the greater good.

鈥淭CU Gives Day helps pave the way for current and future Horned Frogs into the next 150 years,鈥 said Chancellor Victor J. Boschini, Jr. 鈥淲e thank all of our generous donors for being a part of this community and supporting TCU鈥檚 mission.鈥

TCU Gives Day has a remarkable influence on TCU鈥檚 people, programs and purpose:

  • Over 88% of gifts made during last year鈥檚 Gives Day were under $500.
  • Gifts made on Gives Day last year totaled more than $1.2 million designated for TCU鈥檚 people and programs.
  • The vast majority of gifts given during last year鈥檚 Gives Day benefited student scholarships or school, college or department funds.

New this year, donor impact will be highlighted with donor maps and leaderboards. These features allow Horned Frogs to see top performing areas, class years, affiliations and even alumni chapters and clubs. In this friendly competition, the TCU family will see which Horned Frogs are the most active across the world. Mobile payments will also be accepted this year through ApplePay and GooglePay.
